Fornals upbeat after Saints stalemate
Pablo Fornals feels there positives to take from West Ham's goalless draw with Southampton at the weekend and is now looking forward to his side's Europa League game with Dinamo Zagreb.
The Hammers travel to Croatia on Thursday for their first ever game in the Europa League group stages, they are to win, with the draw at and Zagreb priced up at .
West Ham have been in good form so far this campaign, beating Newcastle and Leicester before draws with Crystal Palace and Southampton.
David Moyes' side finished sixth in the Premier League last season and as a result are embarking on their first experience of European football since 2016/17.
Fornals joined the east London side before the 2019/20 season and has subsequently made 80 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 times.
Fornals excited by Euro journey
The forward has also turned out for Spain four times, finding the net once. The 25-year-old gave his verdict on the Hammers' visit to St Mary's.
"We're still unbeaten," he told the club's website. "Obviously we went to Southampton to keep winning and keep taking three points and we couldn't, but the work is always there and we always try to get the three points and get through without conceding any goals and lucky for us we didn't concede any goals."
Fornals went on to discuss the Dinamo Zagreb game, saying: "Yeah, we're going to travel and start this new experience for every one of us and I hope we are going to make all the West Ham supporters proud of these Hammers."
