Bobo sets sights on three-peat
Bobo says it is a "great feeling" to be back with Sydney FC and a third straight grand final victory is the aim for the 2020/21 A-League campaign.
The 36-year-old is back for a second spell in the Harbour City and if he can reproduce the form he showed during his first two-season stint, the Sky Blues fans are in for a treat.
The Brazilian smashed A-League records when scoring 42 goals in 57 matches over two seasons before heading off to pastures new.
Following spells in his homeland, Turkey and India, he is back, and has set his sights on an historic third straight grand final win for the club.
"We try to get the third consecutive trophy for this club," Bobo told the club's website. "We need to do what they have done for the last four or five years."
Bobo is now fully integrated into the squad and says it is good to be back among his former team-mates and the new faces that have arrived at the club.
"I’m happy to be back, it’s like coming back home," he added. "[It’s a] great feeling, good to see the boys, and the new ones here.
"I feel good, we tried to keep fit in the quarantine. We have got the trainer there, we tried to do the program sent to me so let’s see now what’s going to happen."
Sydney FC got the season off to a winning start with a 2-1 win over Wellington Phoenix and all eyes are now on the big derby clash against Western Sydney Wanderers.
Bobo is building up his fitness and it remains to be seen whether he play against the Red and Blacks this weekend.
Sydney FC are?5/2 to win the A-League grand final.
