Parker fuming at fixture reshuffle
Fulham boss Scott Parker has labelled the rearranging of his side's Premier League fixtures as "scandalous" ahead of their trip to Tottenham on Wednesday night.
The game with the North Londoners was originally scheduled for Wednesday 30th December, but was postponed at short notice.
In a fixture reshuffle on Monday, the match was rescheduled for Wednesday night after Tottenham's game with Aston Villa was postponed.
Parker, whose side are 18th in the Premier League and in serious danger of relegation this season, said he spent "numerous hours on Sunday trying to explain it wasn't feasible" after being told the game may be rearranged for Wednesday.
The Cottagers last played on Saturday, when they beat QPR 2-0 after extra time in the FA Cup third round.
Fulham are without a win in the league since November and have picked up just 11 points from 15 games so far this season, and the pressure is beginning to mount on Parker.
The 40-year-old was left fuming by the short-notice fixture change and said: "I am angry because it is not right. It is wrong.
"The possibility of playing Spurs on Wednesday came on Saturday.
"We didn't think that was realistic and we were informed Monday morning at 9:30. To confirm that on Monday morning is scandalous. I accept we have to play the game, but it's the notice."
