Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is confident his squad can cope with their hectic schedule as they prepare for the next hurdle in their push for the quadruple - an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea on Saturday.

City booked their place in only their second Champions League semi-final with a 2-1 victory at Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday and make the first of two Wembley appearances in two weeks when they take on Thomas Tuchel's Blues.

Guardiola's side will be back next Sunday for the Carabao Cup final against Tottenham, but he is confident his charges can deal with the games coming thick and fast.

When you are a contender in all the competitions you have this schedule.

Guardiola, whose team have beaten Birmingham, Cheltenham, Swansea and Everton to reach the semi-finals, said: "I would love to have more days to enjoy our qualification and recover better for the game.

"But when you are a contender in all the competitions you have this schedule.
